Wanted a Samsung Galaxy Note but couldn’t bear to get the black version because it clashed with your all-white decor? UK residents can now get hold of a white version of the Galaxy Note from John Lewis in Oxford Street, London as of today. It doesn’t look like the black one here.

Just to be clear, this is not the white one. Not White. Use your imagination, or pay someone to imagine it for you. Ok? Good.

Oh, and if you’re in the first 100 customers, you’ll get £250 of music, films and books as well.

Of course, normal people would have bought the black version back in November and bought a cover for it. Then again, I don’t really consider the people whom shop at John Lewis nor their bulging wallets “normal”…

Samsung has today announced the latest device to join its Galaxy range of devices, the Galaxy Note, will also be available to buy in the UK in white. Following the availability of the black Galaxy Note in UK stores back in November, customers will also be able to purchase the device in white exclusively from John Lewis on Oxford Street London from Monday 23rd January.

Simon Stanford, Managing Director, UK & IRE Telecommunications & Networks Division said:  “At Samsung we always want to offer our customers choice and are delighted to bring the Galaxy Note in white to the UK. The Galaxy Note is an innovative addition to the Samsung Galaxy family and a new category of device that consumers can’t get anywhere else.”

The Galaxy Note combines the benefits of a notebook with the portability of a smartphone – so there’s no longer any need for customers to carry or switch between multiple devices when they’re out and about. Its 5.3″ HD Super AMOLED screen is the largest and highest quality display available in any phone, which makes it the perfect device for viewing content such as movies, photos, and documents, and playing games.

An advanced pen-input technology called the S Pen and a full touch screen mean owners of the Galaxy Note can easily create and consume more content whilst on the go. What’s more, a series of new applications designed specifically for the S Pen are available for download from Samsung Apps.

The Samsung Galaxy Note White will initially be available exclusively from John Lewis with £250 of free music, films and e-Books for the first 100 customers. Additional channels will be launching during February 2012.
